Mark chapter 13 is the Word in which Jesus taught His disciples on the Mount of Olives about the destruction of the temple of Jerusalem and the signs of the last days of the world, the persecution the saints would receive and the preaching of the gospel, the great tribulation and the deception of false christs, the second coming of the Son of Man and the gathering of those whom He has chosen, and the watchful faith that the one who waits for that day must have. This Word is not meant to make people calculate the date of the end; it is meant to make them know beforehand what will happen, not fall into deception and fear, and live by faith to the end.
