Dear readers, the world speaks as though the power and the buildings and the institutions that are seen will last forever. But everything that man boasts of collapses in the end. Though heaven and earth pass away, the words of Jesus will not pass away. The last part of the Gospel of Mark awakens us to stand firm upon the eternal gospel, not letting our hearts be taken by the things that will disappear, and to wait by faith for the Lord who will come again.
